Chemical Treatment A range of different chemical treatments has been developed to enhance the durability and service life of wood.Timber or timber products are treated with conservation treatments by introducing stable chemicals into the cellular structure of timber that protect timber from dangerous conditions such as the destruction of wood organisms such as fungi and insects. Preservatives may also include the introduction of chemicals that inhibit fire.Chemicaling is the process to fight against termite, insects, fungi, organisms and marine organisms. We treat wood with chemical preservatives like CCB- Copper Chrome Boron. CCB gives the best protection against termites and other organisms. For Rubber we do Rubber wood treatment with preservatives that contain Boric acid and do Klin drying for wood.

Seasoning of the timber is the process by which the moisture content of the wood is reduced to required level. By reducing moisture content, the strength, elasticity and durability of the wood is increased. Well-seasoned timber has 15 % moisture in that. The seasoning of timber is performed to achieve the following purpose:

• To impart hardness, stiffness, strength and better electrical resistance to timber.
• To make timber easily workable and facilitate operations during conversion.
• To maintain the shape and size of the component of the timber article which is expected to remain unchanged in shape.
• To reduce the tendency of timber to crack, warp and shape.
• To make timber safe from the attack of fungi and insects.
• To make timber suitable for gluing i.e. effectively joining two members of timbers of timber with aid of glue.
• To make timber fit for receiving treatment of paints, varnish, preservatives etc.
